Tests
3.2 Function test
Test procedure
1. The auxiliary voltage is present.
2. The overcurrent limit is set lower on the test station computer. This simulates overcurrent.
3. A message is displayed on the test station computer when the overcurrent limit is reached.
Result
The test is passed if the drive responds as described above.
3.2.11

Ground fault monitoring

Fundamentals
The test reveals whether the integrated ground fault monitor switches off the drive when the set
voltage is reached.
Via measuring resistances, the three phases of the input and output voltage are brought
together into a neutral point. The total of the three voltages in the neutral point is 0 V in the fault-
free condition. The ground fault monitor measures the potential difference ΔU between the
neutral point and the ground.
During the test, the drive is in test mode and ΔU deviates substantially from 0 V. For this reason,
the parameter value is set to an appropriately high value for the tests.
Test procedure
1. The auxiliary voltage is present.
2. The drive is in DC-link pulsing operation.
3. The limit value is modified in the corresponding parameter on the test station computer. This
4. A message is displayed on the test station computer when the limit value is reached.
Result
The test is passed if the drive responds as described above.
3.2.12

Failure of actual value acquisition

Fundamentals
The test reveals whether the drive switches off when actual value acquisition is defective.
