Remove the fan blanks from locations 1 and 2. For fan location and numbering information, see
13.
"Hot-plug fans (on page 19)" or the label attached to the chassis next to the fans.
Install the fans into locations 1 and 2.

IMPORTANT: Do not mix standard fans and high-performance fans in the same server.

Install the access panel (on page 22).
16.
Install the server into the rack.
17.
Connect each power cord to the server.
18.
Connect each power cord to the power source.
19.
Press the Power On/Standby button.
The server exits standby mode and applies full power to the system. The system power LED
changes from amber to green.
