Topping up
Top up with fluid that meets the
Ford specification. See Customer
assistance, warranty and service
guide (page 27).
If necessary, add fluid in 250 mL
increments through the dipstick tube
until the level is correct.
If an overfill occurs, excess fluid should
be removed by a qualified technician.
Note: An overfill condition of
transmission fluid may cause shift and/or
engagement concerns and/or possible
damage.

WASHER FLUID CHECK

Checking and adding washer
fluid
Check the washer fluid whenever you
stop for fuel.
If the level is low, add enough fluid to
fill the reservoir. Use Motorcraft R1-47
Screen Wash Solution or equivalent with
clean water. In very cold weather, do not
fill the reservoir all the way.

Washer fluid for the liftgate is supplied by
the same reservoir as the windshield.
