The Pivot thermostat is designed for installation in climate controlled spaces. Use the following
guidelines during installation:

Connect the Pivot thermostat to the Internet (wireless or wired) for full advantage of the unit features.

Place the unit in a central location with good air circulation.
For proper temperature sensing, avoid exposing the unit to heat radiating from lamps, sunlight,
fireplaces, or any other radiant heat sources.
Avoid locations close to windows, behind doors or alcoves with poor circulation, adjoining outside
walls, or doors leading to the outside.
Select a location that prevents the unit from direct exposure to air currents from supply registers,
ceiling diffusers, or ceiling fans.
Mount the unit on a section of interior wall that does not contain hot/cold water pipes or duct work.
