Pre-Maintenance
Procedures
CAUTION
Failure to properly maintain the machine
could result in premature failure of machine
systems causing possible harm to you or
bystanders.
Keep the machine well maintained and in
good working order as indicated in these
instructions.
WARNING
If you leave the key in the ignition switch,
someone could accidently start the engine
and seriously injure you or bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition and
disconnect the wires from the spark plugs
before you do any maintenance. Set the wires
aside so that they do not accidentally contact
the spark plugs.

Park the machine on a level surface.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for

5.
Allow machine components to cool before
performing maintenance.

permanently damage to the electrical system.
Disconnect the negative-battery cable from the
battery before welding on the machine.
Connect the negative-battery cable to the battery
after you finish welding on the machine.
