WARNING

Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
To Remove the Drain Pump (via Front Panel)
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off water supply to washer.
3. Disconnect cold inlet water hose and remove the drain
hose from the standpipe or laundry tub.
4. Perform the procedures on page 4-7, "Removing the Toe
Panel" prior to performing the following steps.
5. Perform the procedures on page 4-8, "Removing the Top
Panel" prior to performing the following steps.
6. Perform the procedures on page 4-15, "Remove the
Console/User Interface" prior to performing the following
steps.
7. Perform the procedure on page 4-16, "Remove the Front
Panel Assembly" prior to performing the following steps.
8. Place a shallow pan below the pump to catch any water
that may be left in the system when the drain filter is
removed.
9. Disconnect the drain pump harness (see Figure 1).

10. Disconnect the pump to drain hose by squeezing the ears
of the clamp and pulling the hose off. Note the notch on
the hose and the locating arrow on the pump that it aligns
with for reinstallation. See Figure 1.

11. Disconnect the tub to pump hose from the pump by squeezing
the ears of the clamp and pulling the hose off (Figure 1).
12. Remove the two (2) 7 mm hex head screws securing the
pump to the washer (see Figure 1). Remove Drain Pump.
To Remove the Drain Pump (via Washer Bottom)
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off water supply to washer.
3. Disconnect cold inlet water hose and remove the drain
hose from the standpipe or laundry tub.
4. Perform the procedures on page 4-7, "Removing the Toe
Panel" prior to performing the following steps.
5. Place a shallow pan below the pump to catch any water
that may be left in the system when the drain filter is
removed.
6. Gently lay the washer on its back side (place a 2 x 4 or
similar sized object on the floor prior to laying the washer
on its side to elevate the washer slightly). See Figure 2.

7. Disconnect the drain pump harness (see Figure 1).
8. Disconnect the pump to drain hose by squeezing the ears
of the clamp and pulling the hose off. Note the notch on
the hose and the locating arrow on the pump that it aligns
with for reinstallation. See Figure 1.
9. Disconnect the tub to pump hose from the pump by squeezing
the ears of the clamp and pulling the hose off. (Figure 1)
10. Remove the two (2) 7 mm hex head screws securing the
pump to the washer (see Figure 1). Remove Drain Pump.
ECO BALL REPLACEMENT
The ECO Ball (location shown
in Figure 2) can be replaced
as a separate part or as the
complete Tub to Pump Hose
Assembly as shown in the
figure to the right.
