PURCHASE A FULL LPG CYLINDER

FROM YOUR GAS DEALER

The LPG cylinder must always be installed, transported and stored in an upright
position . Never allow the LPG cylinder to drop or be handled carelessly . Never store LPG
cylinder where temperatures can exceed 51° C (too hot to hold by hand) . For example,
do not leave the LPG cylinder in your car on hot days .

CONNECTING THE LPG CYLINDER

m WARNING: Make sure that the LPG cylinder valve is closed.
Close by turning valve clockwise (1).
Check That All Burner Valves Are Off
Valves are shipped in the OFF position, but you should check to be sure that they are
turned off . Check by pushing down and turning clockwise . If they do not turn, they are
off . If they do turn, continue turning them clockwise until they stop, then they are off .
Your Weber
gas barbecue uses universal liquefied petroleum gas . The regulator that

the barbecue is equipped with uses a POL fiting . This will require an LPG cylinder that is
similarly equipped with a POL connection in the LPG cylinder valve .
The regulator illustrations shown in this manual, may be different to the one you are
using for your barbecue, due to different country or region regulations . Follow specific
regulator connection instruction .
Connect The Hose To The LPG Cylinder
The regulator must be connected to the LPG cylinder on the outside of the base cabinet,
on the right side of the barbecue .
m WARNING: Never store an extra (spare) LPG cylinder under or
near the Weber
gas barbecue.

A) Turn the LPG cylinder so the opening of the valve is to the front of the Weber
barbecue .
B) Lift and hook the LPG cylinder onto the AU adapter bracket on the fuel scale (6) .
C) Remove the plastic dust cover from the valve .
D) Connect the hose (2) and the regulator (3) to the LPG cylinder .
m WARNING: The regulator has left hand screw threads. It
tightens by turning anticlockwise.
m WARNING: No sealant is required on the POL fitting. Do not use
pipe dope, tape or any other sealant on the POL fitting or LPG
cylinder.
E) Use your fingers to start the POL fitting (4) in the LPG cylinder valve . Turn nut
anticlockwise until tight (7) . Position the regulator so that the vent hole (5) faces
down .
m WARNING: Do not use a spanner to tighten the connection.
Using a spanner could damage the regulator coupling and
could cause a leak.
