DIGITAL DISPLAY

The digital display gives digital indication of voltage or percentage of charge. It also gives cool down
time remaining during engine start. The display will show the voltage or percentage of charge of the
vehicle battery or percentage of charge of the internal ultracaps under certain conditions. First, when
connected to a battery but not charging, the percentage of charge of the internal ultracaps will display
until the ultracaps are fully charged. Then the battery voltage as measured at the battery clamps will be
displayed. When charging begins, the display will automatically change to display12 to indicate charging
has started on a 12V battery (only battery type allowed for this unit). Percentage of charge of the vehicle
battery will only display for the 6A CHARGE rate selection. It will display for 10 seconds and cycle with
the 12 display every 10 seconds. When the vehicle battery is fully charged, the 12V CHARGING (green)
LED will be illuminated. After the vehicle battery is full charged, the display and all other LEDs will turn
off to conserve energy during Maintain mode, with the exception of the 12V CHARGING (green) LED,
CAP CHARGING (green) LED and LITH CHARGING (green) LED.

LED INDICATORS

Digital Display LEDs:
PERCENTAGE OF CHARGE (green) LED: The digital display shows an estimated percentage of
%
charge of the internal ultracaps or the battery connected to the charger battery clamps.
VOLTAGE (green) LED: The digital display shows the voltage at the charger battery clamps, in
V
DC volts.
CLAMPS REVERSED (red) LED flashing: The digital display shows error code F04, indicating
the connections are reversed.
BAD BATTERY (red) LED solid: The charger has detected a problem with the battery
and the digital display shows a corresponding error code. See Troubleshooting for more
information.
Charging Status LEDs:
12V CHARGING (green) LED off: The charger is not charging the vehicle battery.
12V CHARGING (green) LED flashing: The charger is charging the vehicle battery.
12V
12V CHARGING (green) LED solid: The vehicle battery is fully charged and the charger is in
maintain mode.
NOTE: The display and all other LEDs, with the exception of the other Charging Status LEDs, will be off
when this LED is illuminated, to conserve energy.
CAP CHARGING (green) LED off: The ultracaps are not fully charged.
CAP CHARGING (green) LED flashing: The ultracaps are charging.
CAP
CAP CHARGING (green) LED solid: The ultracaps are fully charged.
LITH CHARGING (green) LED off: The internal lithium battery is not fully charged.
LITH CHARGING (green) LED flashing: The internal lithium battery is charging.
LITH
LITH CHARGING (green) LED solid: The internal lithium battery is fully charged.
Rate LEDs:
These LEDs illuminate when the corresponding rate is selected. See RATE selection button below for an
explanation of each rate.
