4.2.5 A peripheral device or an electronic device can not work when it
is connected to the computer.
See if the cable between the device and the computer is well connected.
See if the device is turned on and in a normal working status.
Read the user manual of the device and configure it and your computer

See if the computer port connected with the electronic device is
disabled in BIOS.
See if the port configuration and electric standard meets the
requirements of the device or be compatible with it.
See if device can work normally when it is connected with other
portable computers.
See if a device of other model can work normally when it is connected

See if the telephone line is well connected to the Modem port on the
