9. Fig. 6 shows the blue and yellow wire
routes. The wire path is across the front
along the frame tube.
Note: Coil excess wire and use cable ties to
secure the cables to themselves and to the
frame tube in the upper left corner – as
shown in Fig. 6.
Install the Remote Connector
10. The remote is part of the Winch Kit (p/n
SSV-F740C-T0-00). The Wiring Harness ①
in this Winch Wiring Kit includes the jack
used to connect the Winch's remote control.
The mounting hardware is included in the
Winch Kit.
11. Mount the jack on the interior dash, just to
the left of the glovebox as shown in Fig. 7.
12. Position the connecter on the dash and
mark that location. Then use a hole saw to
cut a 7/8" hole for the connecter, feed the
cable through that hole. Route the harness
out through the hole in the dash box, into
the electrical bay, to the contactor. Coil up
excess wire and secure with cable ties.
13. Use the connector as a template to mark the
two ¼" mount holes for the bolts and nuts
that hold the connector to the dash. Install
the 2 bolts and torque to 8Nm (5.9 ft-lbf) to
secure the remote connecter to the dash as
shown in Fig. 7.
Connect the Wiring Harness from the
Jack to the Remote
14. Separate the existing connector for the 12V
power outlet in the wiring bay and insert the
wiring harness as shown in Fig. 8.
15. Connect the black and green wire, from this
harness, to the Contactor. Refer to Fig. 1 to
identify the terminals to connect these two
wires.
MAINTENANCE:
Periodically, check torque on all hardware. If
loose hardware is found, re-torque to
specification. Periodically inspecting accessory
wiring for chaffing and rubbing.
