    Now, with the CS164/CS168, you can easily access multiple computers in a cost effective manner. The CS164 unit can control up to 4 PCs, all from a single console, while the CS168 can control up to 8 PCs.

    3. Because of the wiring and pin assignments, you cannot use a Serial-to-PS/2 adapter at the end that plugs into the CS164/CS168. Therefore, attempting to use a standard serial extender cable with adapters at both ends will fail.

    Port Selection Controlling all the PCs connected to your CS164/CS168 from a single console couldn’t be easier. You can access any PC on the chain using two methods: Manual or HotKey. Manual Simply press the appropriate “Select” button located on the front of the CS164/CS168 to switch between computers.

    Auto Scan Mode The CS164/CS168 Auto Scan feature automatically switches between the 4 or 8 PCs at adjustable time intervals so that you can monitor their activity without having to take the trouble of switching yourself. To invoke the Auto Scan Mode, key in the following Hot Key combination: [Scroll Lock] + [Scroll Lock] + [S] + “1-9”...
