    Now, with the CS164/CS168, you can easily access multiple computers in a cost effective manner. The CS164 unit can control up to 4 PCs, all from a single console, while the CS168 can control up to 8 PCs.

    3. Because of the wiring and pin assignments, you cannot use a Serial-to-PS/2 adapter at the end that plugs into the CS164/CS168. Therefore, attempting to use a standard serial extender cable with adapters at both ends will fail.

    Port Selection Controlling all the PCs connected to your CS164/CS168 from a single console couldn’t be easier. You can access any PC on the chain using two methods: Manual or HotKey. Manual Simply press the appropriate “Select” button located on the front of the CS164/CS168 to switch between computers.

    Auto Scan Mode The CS164/CS168 Auto Scan feature automatically switches between the 4 or 8 PCs at adjustable time intervals so that you can monitor their activity without having to take the trouble of switching yourself.
