INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION

1. Install:
• shift drum 1
• drive axle/middle drive pinion gear assem-
bly 2
• shift fork 3
• shift fork guide bar 4
NOTE:
_
• The embossed marks on the shift fork should
face towards the left of the engine.
• Be sure to install the forked section a of the
drive
around the shift fork guide bar when install-
ing the transmission.
2. Check:
• transmission
Rough movement → Repair.
NOTE:
_
• Oil each gear and bearing thoroughly.
• Before assembling the crankcase, be sure
that the transmission is in neutral and that
the gears turn freely.
