Removing the fan and heat-sink assembly (NVIDIA GeForce RTX
3060/3070/3070 Ti graphics card)
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
CAUTION:
For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heat sink. The
oils in your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease.
NOTE:
The heat sink may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool before you
touch it.
2. Remove the
base
cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the
rear
cover.
5. Remove the
solid-state
6. Remove the
wireless
card.
7. Remove the
system
board.
NOTE:
The system board can be removed as an assembly with the memory modules, fan and heat-sink assembly,
ethernet and audio board, and USB board attached.
NOTE:
This procedure only applies to computers shipped with a NVIDIA GeForce 3060/3070/3070 Ti graphics card.
