Installing Mass Storage Devices
Handle the hard disk drive with care. Avoid shocks and violent
movement as this can cause damage to the hard disk drive's internal
components.
Make sure that you backup your files before you install a hard disk drive.
Refer to your operating system documentation for information on how
to do this.
The Bottom Rear Shelf.

You can install a 3.5-inch or a 5.25-inch hard disk drive in this shelf.

In most models this shelf is already occupied by a hard disk drive.
The Two Front Shelves.

You can install removable-media IDE devices, such as a CD-ROM
drive, a ZIP drive, or a Tape drive, in one of the front shelves.

Most models have a CD-ROM drive already installed in the top front
shelf.
To avoid electric shock and harm to your eyes by laser light from a CD-
ROM drive, do not open the CD-ROM drive enclosure. The drive should
be serviced by authorized service personnel only.
