Browser
Currently, the browser is only included with the 128 MB version of
the thin client image.
The browser provided is the open source Mozilla browser.
Additionally, an Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in is included in the
browser feature set. Configuration settings of the browser must be
specified prior to proper operation of the browser.
To start the browser, select Go > Browser from the desktop.
To configure the browser, click Edit > Preferences > Advanced
on the browser menu bar. Enter appropriate configuration information
as required of your environment, such as network settings, proxy, and
certificates.
Due to its size, the browser is stored in a compressed format in the
flash memory. For this reason, it may take the browser ten to 15
seconds to launch.
VNC Viewer
The VNC viewer dialog box provides connection to a VNC server.
This feature allows control of the desktop environment from another
thin client.
To start the VNC viewer dialog box, select Go > VNCviewer.
VNC Server
The VNC server dialog box provides the capabilities of a standard X
server. VNC server creates a virtual desktop which can be viewed or
controlled remotely using VNC viewer.
To start the VNC server dialog box, select Go > VNC server.
