Chapter 4: AMI BIOS
Discard Changes and Exit
Select this item to exit from the BIOS setup without making any permanent changes
to the system configuration, and reboot the computer.
Save Changes and Reset
When you have completed the system configuration changes, select this item to
leave the BIOS setup utility and reboot the computer for the new system configura-
tion parameters to take effect. Select Yes and press <Enter> to save the changes
you've made and reboot the system.
Save Options
Save Changes
When you have completed the system configuration changes, select this item to
save all changes made. This will not reset (reboot) the system.
Discard Changes
Select this item to discard all the changes and return to the AMI BIOS setup utility.
Select Yes and press <Enter> to discard all changes made.
Restore Optimized Defaults
Select this item and press <Enter> to load the Optimized default settings which are
designed for maximum system performance but not for maximum stability.
Save As User Defaults
Select this item and press <Enter> to save the current BIOS settings as user's
default settings for future use.
Restore User Defaults
Select this item and press <Enter> to retrieve the user-defined default settings that
were previously saved to be used as current default settings.
Boot Override
This feature allows the user to override the boot priority sequence in the Boot sub-
menu and immediately boot the system with another device specified by the user.
This is a one-time override.
