Steps
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
NOTE:
This step is applicable only if the battery cable has not been disconnected.
2. Remove the six screws (M2x3) that secure the 6-cell battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Lift the 6-cell battery off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
