Selection
The unit will automatically activate for maintenance, once every 24 hours.
Because this is to prevent the toner from solidifying, the noise that the unit
makes during maintenance cannot be stopped. However, if the unit's noise
bothers you, you can change the start time.
1. MMenuN A MBNM1NM5NM8N A MSetN
2. Enter the maintenance start time.
R The default time is "12:00".
R If you selected 12-hour time entry (page 22), press MHN repeatedly to
select AM or PM.
R If you selected 24-hour time entry (page 22), the time is set using 24-hour
time entry.
3. MSetN A MMenuN
Before you dispose of, transfer or return the product, activate this feature to
reset all programmable features and to delete all data stored in memory.
Phonebook (or caller information) and fax transmission data (journal report and
faxes received in memory) will be deleted.
M0N "NO" (default)
M1N "YES"
R Disconnect the telephone line cord, USB cable and LAN cable before
activating this feature.
To reset all features:
1. MMenuN A MBNM1NM5NM9N
2. Press M1N to select "YES". A MSetN
3. Press M1N to select "YES". A MSetN
M1N "A" (default)

M0N "OFF": Deactivate this feature.
M1N "ON" (default): You will hear confirmation/error beep sounds and keytones.
Note:
R Even if this feature is set to "OFF", the unit beeps in the following cases:
– the memory reception alert setting (feature #437 on page 62) is
activated.
– the top cover is opened.
M2N "2" (default)

Note:
R If you are using the unit with an answering machine, set to more than 4
(page 49).
M0N "OFF" (default): The unit will not print the caller identification list, but will
keep records of the information for the last 30 callers.
M1N "ON": The unit will print the caller identification list automatically after every
30 new calls (page 53).
