Recording movie audio with an IC recorder

You can use an IC recorder to record audio in a movie.
Connect an IC recorder to the microphone jack of the camera for recording sound. Use
a non-resistant cable for the connection.
Select [Movie K] in n Video Menu and press the Q button.

Select [On] and press I.

Use FG to select [PCM Recorder K Link] and press I.

Recording movie audio with the Olympus LS-100 IC recorder
When using the Olympus LS-100 IC recorder to record sound in a movie, you can add
a slate tone, start and stop recording with camera controls.
In [Movie K] > [PCM Recorder K Link], set [Slate Tone] and [Synchronized R Rec.] to
[On].
Make sure that the LS-100 fi rmware is the latest version before recording.

Connect the LS-100 to the USB connector and microphone.
• When the LS-100 is connected to the USB connector, a message will be displayed
prompting you to choose a connection type. Select [PCM Recorder]. If the message
does not appear, select [Auto] for [USB Mode] (P. 117) in the custom menus.

Start recording a movie.
• Audio recording on the LS-100 starts simultaneously.
• If you press and hold the Q button, you can record a slate tone.

End movie recording.
• Audio recording on the LS-100 ends simultaneously.
• Refer to the documentation provided with the LS-100 as well.

If set to [Inoperative], the sound recording settings in the camera
are disabled and the settings in the IC recorder are applied.
If set to [On], the slate tone is played.
