Note: While in Airplane mode, your phone's standby screen will display "Phone Off".

TTY Use With PCS Service

This feature set the TTY Mode to On or Off. A TTY (also known as TDD or Text Telephone) is a
telecommunications device that allows people who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have
speech or language disabilities, to communicate by telephone. Connect the TTY device to the
Headset Jack of Your PCS Phone. Then, type the message you want to send on the TTY's
keyboard.
To Turn the TTY Mode On or Off:
1.
Select MENU/OK > Settings > Others > TTY.
2.
You will see a message on the display. Press OK (left softkey) to continue.
3.
Select Enable or Disable.

Phone Setup Options

My Favorites

You can arrange your own shortcut menu.
1.
Press Favorites(left softkey).
2.
Select <Add Favorite>.
3.
Select an option and press MENU/OK.
4.
Using the navigation key or your keypad, select functions to be assigned to the My
Favorites list.
5.
Press Assign (left softkey) to save.

Auto Answer Mode

This feature sets the phone to automatically pick up after 5 or 15 seconds. This feature works
with the hands-free car kit and headset (sold separately).
To activate this feature:
1.
Select MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Auto Answer.
2.
Select Hands-free or Speakerphone and press MENU/OK.
3.
Select either 5 Seconds or 15 Seconds and press MENU/OK.
To deactivate this feature, select Off during step 3 above.

Setting the Open/Close Flip Options

This feature enables you to answer an incoming call by opening the phone or to end a call by
closing the phone.
To activate the Open Flip feature:
1.
Select MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Open/Close Flip > Open.
2.
Select Answer Call.
To deactivate this feature, select No Action during step 2 above.
To activate the Close Flip feature:
1.
Select MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Open/Close Flip > Close. (You will see a
message on the display.)
