When you select this function, the follow ing message w ill appear at the center of the screen to
assist you in creating a passw ord.
Type the passw ord, up to eight characters, and press <Enter>. You w ill be asked to confirm the
passw ord. Type the passw ord again and press <Enter>. You may also press <Esc> to abort the
selection and not enter a passw ord.
To disable passw ord, just press <Enter> w hen you are prompted to enter passw ord. A message
"PASSWORD DISABLED" w ill appear to confirm the passw ord being disabled. Once the passw ord
is disabled, the system w ill boot and you can enter S etup freely.
The BIOS Setup program allow s you to specify tw o separate passw ords: a S U PERVISOR PASS-
WORD and a U SER PAS SWORD. When disabled, anyone may access all BIOS Setup program
function. When enabled, the Supervisor passw ord is required for entering the BIOS S etup program
and having full configuration fields, the U ser passw ord is required to access only basic items.
If you select " System" at " Security Option" in Advance BIOS Features Menu, you w ill be prompted
for the passw ord every time the system is rebooted or any time you try to enter Setup Menu.
If you select "Setup" at "Security Option" in Advance BIOS Features Menu, you w ill be prompted
only w hen you try to enter Setup.
