AUtoMAtic icE-MAKER

The ice maker
• I ce maker is in the OFF position
is not making
• W ater tap is turned off
any ice
• T he freezer is not cold enough
• The water dispenser may not be dispensing water
• Filter may be blocked
The ice-maker
• T he ice maker is producing less ice than you expect
is not making
enough ice
• The freezer is not cold enough
• H ousehold water line valve is not open
• The water dispenser is dispensing slower
than normal
Ice cubes are
• Restricted water flow to the ice maker
hollow or smaller
than normal
The ice has
• The ice has picked up odour or flavour from strongly
flavoured food stored in the refrigerator or freezer
a bad odour
and taste
• The water running into the ice maker has poor
taste or colour
• Ice not used frequently enough

icE diSpENSER

The dispenser will
• The ice storage container is empty
not dispense ice
• Household water tap is not open
• The wire signal arm is either held or jammed
• Ice maker switch is in OFF position
The ice dispenser
• Ice has melted and frozen around the auger due
to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or
is jammed
power outages
• Ice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and
back of ice container
• Ice cubes are frozen together
• Ice cubes are hollow or smaller than normal
If you have a problem, and the problem persists after you have made the checks mentioned above, contact your nearest
Electrolux approved Service Centre or the dealer you bought the refrigerator from. Be ready to quote the model number
and 8-digit serial number, which is stated on the label inside the refrigerator compartment.
SoLUtioN
• P ut switch in the ON position
• T urn on the water tap
• See the Troubleshooting section: 'If the temperature
in the refrigerator is too warm' on page10
• If it isn't, the ice & water filter cartridge may be
clogged or restricted by foreign material, and will
need to be replaced
• Check and/or change filter
• The ice maker should produce approximately
2–3 kilograms of ice every 24 hours
• R efer to 'Adjusting Temperature' in your relevant
model section
• O pen the household water line valve
• R eplace the water filter cartridge
• Replace the filter cartridge, as the water filter cartridge
may be clogged
• Cover foods tightly. Discard stale ice. The ice maker
will produce a fresh supply
• Change ice monthly
• Add a filter to water supply line. Consult a water
purifying company
• Discard stale ice monthly
• When the first supply of ice drops into the container,
the dispenser should operate.
• O pen the household water tap. Allow sufficient time for
the ice to be made. When ice is made the dispenser
should operate
• Remove jam or free arm
• See ice maker section in user manual. Turn switch to
ON position
• Remove the ice container and empty it's contents.
Clean and dry the container and replace to its proper
position. When new ice is made, the dispenser
should operate
• Remove ice cubes that are jamming dispenser
• Use the dispenser often so that cubes do not
freeze together
• Discard ice monthly
• The water filter cartridge could be clogged.
Cartridge may need replacing
