  • Page 197 Upgrading and migrating Unpack the multiposition staple, hole punch finisher, and then remove the pieces of tape. On a flat, sturdy, and stable surface, align the finisher to the printer. Note: Avoid installing the finisher on a carpeted surface.
  • Page 198 Upgrading and migrating Push the finisher to the printer, and then apply pressure with your foot at the bottom of the finisher until it clicks into place. Give the finisher a hard pull to check if it detaches from the printer. If the finisher detaches, then repeat step 13 step 14 until they are properly locked.
  • Page 199 Upgrading and migrating When the finisher is locked, do the following: Open the bottom front door of the finisher. Turn the levers of the finisher counterclockwise until the levers are loose. Close the door. Check the gap between the printer and the finisher. If the gap is uneven, then rotate the side wheels of the finisher clockwise.

    • From the software CD that came with your printer. • Go to http://support.lexmark.com, and then select your printer and operating system. Run the installer, and then follow the instructions on the computer screen. For Macintosh users, add the printer.

    Updating firmware Some applications require a minimum device firmware level to operate correctly. For more information on updating the device firmware, contact your Lexmark representative. From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Device > Update Firmware. Browse to locate the required flash file.
