Init Display If you installed both a PCI VGA
First card and an AGP card, this item
lets you decide which one is to be
used as the initial display card.
AC97 Audio Enables or disables the on-die
AC97 Audio if there is no add-on
PCI Audio device.
IDE HDD Block Enabling this item enhances disk
Mode performance by allowing multisec-
tor data transfers and eliminating
the interrupt handling time for
each sector. Most IDE drives,
except those with old designs, can
support this feature.
Onboard FDC Enable this option if your system
Controller has an onboard FDC (floppy disk
controller) and you wish to use it.
If what you have installed is an
add-on FDC or your system has no
FDC, disable this option.
Onboard Serial Use this option to select an address
Port 1 and corresponding interrupt for
the first serial port.
Onboard Serial Use this option to select an address
Port 2 and corresponding interrupt for
the second serial port.
Onboard Paral- This item controls the address and
lel Port corresponding interrupt of the
onboard parallel port.
Note: If you are using an I/O card
with a parallel port, make sure
that the addresses and IRQs do not
conflict.
ECP Mode Use Use this option to select a DMA
DMA channel for the parallel port while
in an ECP mode.
Game Port Use these option to set the I/O
Address base address for the game port.
Midi Port Use these option to set the I/O
Address base address for the MIDI port.
Midi Port IRQ Use this option to set the IRQ
(interrupt request) channel for the
MIDI port.
