  • Page 3 INFRARED COOKTOP Any flat-bottomed pot or container that can be used on a conventional electric stove element can also be used on the Salton Portable Ceramic Infrared Cooktop. For maximum heat transfer, cookware that has a perfectly flat bottom is recommended.

  • Page 5 HOW TO USE 1. Ensure that the Portable Ceramic Infrared Cooktop is placed on a smooth, dry, flat surface with at least 10cm (4") of space on all sides of the appliance. NEVER block the air vents. Plug into any 120 Volt A.C.

    11. When the Hot Surface Light goes out, press the ON/OFF Switch to the OFF position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. NOTE: When you have finished cooking and the appliance is hot you can place a pan of cold water on the appliance to avoid any one touching the hot surface.
