  • Page 3 INFRARED COOKTOP Any flat-bottomed pot or container that can be used on a conventional electric stove element can also be used on the Salton Portable Ceramic Infrared Cooktop. For maximum heat transfer, cookware that has a perfectly flat bottom is recommended.

  • Page 5 HOW TO USE 1. Ensure that the Portable Ceramic Infrared Cooktop is placed on a smooth, dry, flat surface with at least 10cm (4") of space on all sides of the appliance. NEVER block the air vents. Plug into any 120 Volt A.C.
  • Page 6 11. When the Hot Surface Light goes out, press the ON/OFF Switch to the OFF position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. NOTE: When you have finished cooking and the appliance is hot you can place a pan of cold water on the appliance to avoid any one touching the hot surface.
