Cutting Tiles:
1. Place the marked tile on the table and brace it against the rear of the table. Turn on laser guide and align the cut mark with the laser beam.
2. Once the tile saw has been turned on, allow the blade to speed up to full speed. Make sure that the pump is supplying a continuous flow of
water to the blade.
3. Keeping your hands clear of the blade, slide the table and the tile towards the blade. Feed the tile into the blade very slowly. Do not force it.
If the rotational feed of the blade slows down significantly, then you are forcing the tile.
4. While cutting, make sure the blade remains wet. If it runs dry, check the action of the pump and water level of the water tray.
5. If the motor stops suddenly, flip the power switch to the "off" position. Check power supply including the circuit breaker, wait approximately
15 minutes and push the reset button.
Using the 90º Rip Guide:
If you have to cut a number of tiles to the same dimension, using the 90º rip guide
(A) Fig.12 may save you a significant amount of time.
1. Mark the first tile to the correct dimensions, allowing space for grout.
2. With the motor turned off, place the marked tile on the table against the fence.
Turn on laser guide and align the cut mark with the laser beam.
3. Loosen the locking knob (B) on the 90º rip guide. Place the hooked portion of the
rip guide over the upturned edge of the table, on the side of the cutting groove
where you have placed the part of the marked tile that you intend to keep and use
after cutting. The 90º rip guide will be parallel to the tile and perpendicular to the
fence.
4. Slide the rip guide along the fence until it abuts the tile, making sure that the mark
on your tile remains in line with the laser beam and blade.
5. Tighten the rip guide knob.
6. Turn on the tile saw. Cut the tile as described in previous instructions.
7. Make sure that the tile has been cut to proper dimensions before using the rip
guide to cut your other tiles. Periodically test the fit of each tile as you continue
cutting, to be sure the rip guide has not moved.
Angle Cutting, Using the 45º Rip Guide or 45º Bevel Guide:
Use the 45º rip guide (D) for cutting angled edges or the 45º bevel guide (C) to cut bevels on your tiles.
1. Attach either the 45º rip guide/45º bevel guide to the fence as you did the 90º rip guide, using the lock knob to hold the it in place.
2. Use the cutting groove in the middle of the table to brace the edge of your tile as you slide the tile and the table towards the blade.
SAW MAINTENANCE
WARNING: DO NOT SERVICE, CLEAN, OR MAINTAIN THE SAW WITHOUT FIRST TURNING OFF THE MOTOR AND UNPLUGGING THE
SAW FROM ITS POWER SOURCE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE OPERATOR.
For the longest life and best performance, clean the saw after every use. Wipe off all exterior surfaces and keep the cutting table clean and free
of tile chips and debris. Wipe off both the guide bars and the rollers on the cutting
table. Always check the blade for cracks or signs of fatigue.
BELT REPLACEMENT & BELT TENSION
CAUTION: Always turn off and unplug from power source before removing the
belt guard, adjusting or changing belt.
Loosen and remove the 3 belt guard screws (A) Fig.13 and take off the belt guard
(B). Loosen the 4 nuts (C-front & back) on the mounting plate. Carefully nudge the
motor slightly forward, so there is a little slack in the belt. Take off the old belt and
replace with a new belt. To reassemble, follow the above steps in reverse order.
Make sure the belt is retensioned properly after a new belt is installed. Nudge the
motor back to its original place or until there is a 1/2" deflection in the belt using light
finger pressure. Make sure to retighten the 4 nuts (C).
