Accented characters
Accented characters are generated automatically in T9 mode. In ABC mode accented characters are available by pressing
the key supporting the non-accented character repeatedly.

Saving the message

Once the text is entered, press [Options] and select Save if you do not want to send the message at once or if you want
to send it several times. It is saved in the Drafts menu.

Select Save as Template to use it again as a template. It is saved in the Templates menu.

Select where you want it to be saved (SIM card or Phone).

Sending the message

Once the text has been entered, press the navigator or [Options] and select Add recipient.

Enter the receiver's number or take it from your phonebook by pressing [Options]/Contacts. You can also select a
contacts list in your phonebook.

Receiving messages

When you receive a message, the phone plays the ring tone that you selected in the Ringtone menu and a message icon
appears on your phone's screen.
This icon remains displayed until the messages have been read. When it flashes, the memory is full.
Icons, wallpapers and melodies may take several seconds to load. An icon flashes when a message is downloading.
There are two different possibilities for receiving an MMS: automatically or manually. If manual mode is enabled, you just
receive a notification in your Inbox indicating that you have received an MMS that is stored on the MMS server. To retrieve it,
select Retrieve in the options. For more details on retrieval modes, refer to Options page 22.

Messages menu

Inbox
For each message, the size, attachments where appropriate and the time and date of receipt are indicated.
Messages are listed in chronological order, the latest one being displayed first.
The number of Not Read and Not Retrieved messages is also displayed. The Not retrieved and Not read messages are
shown in bold.
