Settings
Back up and reset
Change the settings for managing settings and data.
• B ack up my data: Set to back up settings and application data to the Google server.
• B ackup account: Set up or edit your Google backup account.
• A utomatic restore: Set to restore settings and application data when the applications are
reinstalled on the device.
• F actory data reset: Reset settings to the factory default values and delete all data.
Developer options
Change the settings for application development.
• D esktop backup password: Set a password to secure your backup data.
• S tay awake: Set the screen to remain on while you are charging the battery.
• P rotect SD card: Set to request a confirmation when reading data from a memory card.
• U SB debugging: Activate USB debugging mode to connect your device to a computer
with a USB cable.
• A llow mock locations: Allow mock locations and service information to be sent to a
Location Manager service for testing.
• S elect debug app: Select applications to debug and prevent errors when you pause
debugging.
• W ait for debugger: Set to prevent the selected application from loading until the
debugger is ready.
• S how touches: Set to show the pointer when you touch the screen.
• S how pointer location: Set to show the coordinates and traces of the pointer when you
touch the screen.
• S how layout bounds: Set to show boundaries.
• S how GPU view updates: Set to flash areas of the screen when they are updated with
the GPU.
• S how screen updates: Set to flash areas of the screen when they are updated.
• W indow animation scale: Select a speed for opening and closing pop-up windows.
• T ransition animation scale: Select a speed for switching between screens.
