• W B (Light Source): Select an appropriate white balance, so images have a true-to-life
colour range. The settings are designed for specific lighting situations. These settings are
similar to the heat range for white-balance exposure in professional cameras.
• F ocus: Select a focus mode. Auto focus (Normal) is camera-controlled. Macro is for very
close objects.
• D rive: Use this to set frame rate or bracketing.
• F ocus Area: Select a focus area.
• F ace Detection: Select a face detection mode. Normal measures exposure on a human
face. Smile Shot recognises and helps taking people's smiling faces. Blink Detection
detects closed eyes and automatically takes additional photos.
• Q uality: Set the quality level for photos. Higher quality images require more storage
space.
• A uto Contract: Use this for automatic contrast. Auto Contrast defines contrast levels
without manual input.
• M etering: Select a metering method. This determines how light values are calculated.
Center Weighted measures background light in the centre of the scene. Spot focuses on
an individual location. Multi averages the entire scene.
• S harpness: Use this to sharpen or soften the edges of the photos.
• C ontrast: Use this to increase or decrease the brightness.
• S aturation: Use this to increase or decrease the colours.
• R ich Tone: Use this to takes photos without losing details in bright and dark areas.
• O IS: Activate or deactivate Optical Image Stabilisation. OIS helps focus when the camera
is moving.
• S mart Zoom: Use this to enhance the zoom feature.
• E V: This determines the camera's light-sensitivity. For low-light situations, use a higher
exposure.
• M ovie Size: Select a resolution for videos. Use higher resolution for higher quality. Higher
resolution videos take up more memory.
• S mart Scene: Use this for taking videos with a scene mode selected automatically by the
camera.
• Q uiet Zoom: Use this to decrease zoom noise when taking videos.
