PROBLEM
TOOL WILL NOT START
1. Battery pack not charged.
2. Battery pack not installed properly.
3. Battery pack temperature is too hot
or cold for operation.
4. Electronic Motor Protection turned
tool off.
5. Burned out switch.
6. Trigger does not turn tool on.
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION
1. Blade out of balance.
2. Workpiece not clamped or sup-
ported properly.
CUT BINDS, BURNS, STALLS MOTOR WHEN RIPPING
1. Dull blade with improper tooth set.
2. Warped sheet.
3. Blade binds.
4. Improper workpiece support.
BLADE SLIPPING
1. Tool does not cut workpiece.

Troubleshooting

Read instruction manual first! Remove battery pack from the tool before
making adjustments or assembling accessories.
1. Charge battery if needed.
2. Confirm battery is locked and secured to the tool.
3. Let battery sit a few minutes or until it reaches nor-
mal operating temperature.
4a. Remove battery an replace.
4b. Let tool sit a few minutes or until it reaches normal
operating temperature.
5. Have switch replaced by an Authorized Bosch Ser-
vice Center or Service Station.
6. Disengage Safety Switch as described on page 11.
1. Discard Blade and use different blade.
2. Clamp or support workpiece as shown on pages
13 and 14.
1. Discard blade and use a different blade.
2. Make sure concave or hollow side is facing "DOWN"
feed slowly, see page 14.
3. Assemble blade and tighten Vari-Torque clutch per
"Assembly Instructions" , see page 10.
4. Clamp or support workpiece as shown on pages
