port. If you attempt to cut without leveling and
properly supporting the piece, the blade will
tend to bind, causing KICK-BACK and extra
load on the motor (Fig. 7).

Support the panel close to the cut, as shown
in (Fig. 8). Be sure to set the depth of the cut
so that you cut through the sheet or board
only and not the table or work bench. The two-

saw backward since blade will climb out of

sides support the work and rest on the table or
bench. Do not support the work with the nar-
row sides as this is an unsteady arrangement.
If the sheet to be cut is too large for a table or
work bench, use supporting two-by-fours on
the floor and secure.
CUTTING THIN OR CORRUGATED
MATERIALS
For cut-offs in thin or corrugated materials, be
cautious of thin strips being pulled into the up-
per guard. To avoid injury or damage to the
tool, cut at least 1/2" from the edge of the work
piece.
STRAIGHT EDGE GUIDE CUTTING
For longer straight cuts 5" or less in width, it
is recommended to use Bosch Straight Edge
Guide part p/n 2610347119. To attach Straight
Edge Guide, insert it through the slots in the
foot. Adjust to the desired width as shown and
secure with the lock knob (Fig 9).
