► Clean the cutting attachment, check its condi‐
tion and coat it with a standard corrosion inhib‐
itor.
► Fit the transport guard
► If gearbox and cutting attachment are
removed from machine: Fit the protective cap
on the drive tube to protect it against contami‐
nation.
► Thoroughly clean the machine, especially the
cylinder fins and air filter
► Store the machine in a dry and secure loca‐
tion. Keep out of the reach of children and
other unauthorized persons

WARNING
Wear protective gloves to reduce the risk of
direct contact with the sharp cutting edges.
16.1 Removing the Cutting Attach‐
ment
The cutting attachment mounting procedure dif‐
fers according to the machine version.
► Shut off the engine.

► Place the powerhead on the ground so that it
rests securely on the machine support (1).
Position the end of the drive tube (2) horizon‐
tally or rest it on a raised support.
The tip of the sickle or the chisel's hook must
face the ground.
► Secure the cutting attachment (3) so that it
does not drop down – e.g. rest it on a suitable
base.

NOTICE
Do not stand or kneel on the gearbox – this may
result in permanent damage.
To reduce the risk of injury, secure the cutting
attachment in place before removing the screws
– it may drop down.

► Release the nuts (1) and take them off the
screws (2).
► Hold the cutting attachment (3) securely.
