GROUNDED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug.
(2 blades and 1 pin) If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact
a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging.
3. Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.
HOW TO USE
1. Install the Filter, if not already in place. Do not attempt to install or
remove the filter if the kettle is hot.
2. Open the Lid and fill the Kettle with a minimum of .5 litres of water.
NOTE: The Kettle cannot be filled to the maximum level unless
the Filter is in place.
DO NOT attempt to fill the Kettle while it is on the Power Base.
DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate
the interior of the Kettle.
DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated inside of the Kettle. Overfilling
may cause water to spill out when boiling.
3. Close the Lid.
4. Place the Kettle on the Base making sure it is correctly engaged on
its base.
5. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet. Note: Never plug
power base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
6. Lift the On/Off switch to the 'On' position, denoted by '1' and it will light
up to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has
boiled, the On/Off Switch will switch to the 'Off' position, denoted by '0'
and the light will go out.
