Repair instructions

7.27 Dismantling the saw head (PT5S)

Dismantle the saw head from the telescopic tube.
Loosen the screw (C).
Unscrew the locating screw (D) as much as
required in order to twist the saw head and detach
it from the telescopic tube.
Remove the nut (A) and lift off the cover (B), and
chain and bar.
Remove the nut and washers. Make sure to coun-
terhold on the inner washer when
removing nut.
Remove the drive spur.
Remove the screw (E) and the plastic cover (F)
using a screwdriver.
Remove the three screws holding the oil tank in
place.
Carefully lift off the oil tank straight up from the oil
pump to prevent the oil filter (G) from sliding off the
hose and falling into the tank.
