POSSIBLE CAUSES
Pictures do not appear on the monitor.
1 The camera is in the
shooting mode.
2 There is no picture on
the card.
3 The camera is
connected to a TV.
1 The monitor brightness
is not adjusted
properly.
2 The monitor is exposed
to direct sunlight.
The subject's eyes appear red in pictures recorded with the flash.
1 The flash is in the auto-
flash mode.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1 Close the lens barrier and
press the
2 NO PICTURE appears on the
monitor. Take pictures, then
play back the recorded
images.
3 The monitor does not
function when the camera is
connected to a TV.
The monitor is not clear.
1 Adjust the monitor
brightness.
2 Block the sunlight with your
hand or move out of the
sunlight.
1 This "red-eye phenomenon"
occurs with all cameras when
a flash is used. It is caused
by light from the flash
reflecting off the retina at the
back of the eye. Red-eye
varies depending on the
individual and the shooting
conditions such as ambient
lighting. Setting to red-eye
reduction significantly
reduces this phenomenon.
