4 HOW IT WORKS

4.1 Electric Gates

digiGate connects to your electric gates with the 2 provided switch cables.
Your electric gates will either have a control unit (box containing electrics and circuitboard) situated
physically at the gates or in a house/office/outbuilding nearby. digiGate can connect in either situation.
You might also have an override switch for the gates in the house/office/outbuilding nearby which opens
the gates. This situation is the most simple for installation.
Whichever situation you have, your digiGate will need to be positioned close enough for the switch cables
to reach.

4.2 Single Garage

digiGate connects to your single garage with the 2 provided switch cables (4 if you purchased a multi
button garage).
You can connect to your garage directly at the control unit (box containing electrics and circuitboard) or to
the switch used to open/close it, if available.
Your digiGate will need to be positioned close enough for the switch cables to reach the control unit/
switch.

4.3 Double Garage

digiGate connects to your double garage with the 4 provided switch cables. 2 cables connect to each garage
door.
You can connect to each garage door directly at the control units (boxes containing electrics and
circuitboards) or to the switches used to open/close them, if available.
Your digiGate will need to be positioned close enough for the switch cables to reach each control unit/
switch for both doors.

4.4 Miscellaneous (switchable device)

digiGate connects to your switchable device with 2 mains voltage switch cables (not provided).
Your digiGate will need to be positioned close enough for the switch cables to reach your switchable device
and also in a safe, waterproof area due to the potentially dangerous electrical cabling.
