5. PI/O Module
SAO06 module internal circuit, and the extent of fault diagnostics
 Diagnostic functions
Output current read-back diagnostics
ROM/RAM check; WDT supervision; and power supply supervision
I/O bus transmission diagnostics
Duplex switching status diagnostics
*1: Part of the duplex switching circuit is not subject to diagnostics. At the time of
regular repair, it is possible to check the presence or absence of errors by
conducting duplex switching tests.
*2: In standby operation, the output diode open failure may not be detected; in online
operation, the short-circuit failure may not be detected. At the time of regular
repair, it is possible to check the presence or absence of errors by conducting
duplex switching tests.
*3: The panel SW and the status display are not included in the diagnostics. At the time
of regular repair, it is possible to check the presence or absence of any panel SW
failure as well as the illumination status of panel LEDs by conducting the power
ON/OFF tests.
