10 Recycling and disposal
10.1
Unit
Recycling and disposal have already been taken into ac-
count during the development of all Vaillant products.
Vaillant's standards determine strict requirements.
When selecting materials, the recyclability as well as the
demountability and separability of the materials and
components are taken into account in the same way as
environmental hazards and health risks during recycling
and the (not always avoidable) disposal of the residual
material which cannot be recycled.
The solar cylinder unit consists mainly of metallic mate-
rials which can be melted down again at iron and steel
works and are therefore able to be recycled an almost
unlimited number of times.
The plastic materials used are labelled and are there-
fore already prepared for sorting and fractionation in
order to be subsequently recycled.
10.2
Solar collectors
All Vaillant GmbH solar collectors comply with the re-
quirements of the German "Blue Angel" environmental
label.
In this respect we, as the manufacturer, are committed
to take back and recycle components when they have to
be disposed of after years of reliable service.

10.3
Solar fluid
The solar fluid must de disposed of at an appropriate
waste site or waste incineration plant, for example, in
compliance with local regulations. Contact the local mu-
nicipal sanitation office or the mobile environmental
service for quantities under 100 l.
10.4
Packaging
Vaillant has reduced the transport packaging of the ap-
pliances to a minimum. The strict selection of packaging
materials is based on their recyclability.
The high-quality cardboard packaging materials have
long been in demand as secondary raw materials in the
cardboard and paper industry.
EPS (polystyrene)® is used to protect the products dur-
ing transport. EPS is 100 % recyclable and CFC-free. Re-
cyclable plastic films and straps are also used.

Manufacturer's guarantee
We only honour the manufacturer's warranty if the in-
stallation is performed by an approved qualified servic-
ing company. We grant the owner of the appliance this
manufacturer's guarantee in accordance with the Vail-
lant guarantee conditions.
As a matter of principle, guarantee work will only be
performed by our factory customer service. We can
therefore only reimburse any costs you incur for work
on the appliance during the warranty period if we have
issued the order for the work and it is covered by the
warranty.
