3. Measure:
9 Valve stem runout
Runout limit:
0.01 mm (0.0004 in)
Out of specifications → Replace.
NOTE:
The value is half of that indicated on the dial
gauge.
4. Measure:
9 Valve spring free length a
Valve spring free length:
Intake and exhaust: 26.5 mm
(1.04 in)
Limit: 25.0 mm (0.98 in)
Out of specifications → Replace.
5. Measure:
9 Valve spring free length a
Tilt limit:
1.6 mm (0.06 in)
Out of specifications → Replace.
6. Inspect:
9 Valve spring contact surface
More than 2/3 of the contact surface
does not contact → Replace.

LOCKER ARM INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
9 Locker arm
Wear/damage/cracks → Replace.
