Troubleshooting Tips
Problem
Motor operates for
long periods or cycles
on and off frequently.

Possible Causes
Normal when refrigerator

What To Do
• Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely
cool down.
• This is normal.

Non-LCD models:
• Press and release the ICE OFF/LOCK pad on the control
panel to turn on the Ice Off feature, and then the
icon will be displayed. Keeping the Ice Off feature
on will damage the water valve.
LCD models:
• On the LCD screen, select SETTING, then SYSTEM to get
access to the icemaker.
• Replace filter cartridge with new cartridge or with plug.
Non-LCD models:
• Press and release the ICE OFF/LOCK pad on the control
panel to turn off the Ice Off feature, and then the
icon will disappear.
LCD models:
• On the LCD screen, select SETTING, then SYSTEM to get
access to the icemaker. Select ON.
• See Installing the water line.
• Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely
cool down.
• Level cubes by hand.
• Turn off the icemaker, remove cubes and turn
the icemaker back on.
