Risk of injuries or material damage
¾ Only perform maintenance and cleaning
work on the device with the engine at a
standstill.
¾ Remove the ignition key and the spark-
plug connectors.
¾ Wait until all moving parts have come
to a complete stop and the engine has
cooled down.
¾ Never reach into the rotating cutter blades.
¾ Only have repair and maintenance
work and the replacement of safety
components performed by a qualified
specialist or a specialist service centre.
¾ Only have the cutter blades replaced or re-
sharpened by a specialist service centre.
¾ Clean the device and all add-on and
accessory parts after every instance of use.
Cleaning the device
Attention!
¾ Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning
the device.
Park the device on firm and level ground.
Î
Switch the parking brake on.
Î
Clean the device with a scrubbing brush, hand
Î
brush or a cloth.
Cleaning the cutter deck

¾ Wear protective gloves.
¾ Clean the cutting tools carefully.
¾ Note that the movement of one cutting
tool may lead to the rotation of other
cutting tools.
Attention!
Fuel may run into the combustion chamber.
ÂDamage to engine
¾ The device must not be tilted to an angle greater
than 30°.
Bring the cutter deck to the top position.
Î
Clean the cutting chamber with a scrubbing brush,
Î
hand brush or a cloth.

Cleaning
Park the device on a clean and firm foundation.
Î
Switch the parking brake on.
Î
Use a commercially available quick-release cou-

pling to attach a water hose.
Start the engine.
Î
Lower the cutter deck and switch it on.
Î
Allow the engine and cutter deck to run for a few
Î
minutes.
Switch the engine and cutter deck off.
Î
Note
If available, repeat the steps for the second
cleaning nozzle.
Drying
Bring the cutter deck to the top position.
Î
Start the engine and switch the cutter deck on.
Î
To dry the cutter deck, allow the engine and cutter
Î
deck to run for a few minutes.
Switch the engine and cutter deck off.
Î
Starting the device
Observe the servicing instructions in the engine
Î
manual.
At the end of the season, have the device in-
Î
spected and serviced by a service centre.
Note
After changing the oil, take the waste oil
to a waste oil collecting point or to a waste
disposal company.
Note
Hand over used batteries to your dealer or to
a waste management company. Remove the
battery before scrapping the device.
Using jump leads
Risk of explosion / short-circuit
¾ Never bypass a defective or frozen
battery with jump leads.
¾ Ensure that the units and the jump lead
clips do not touch each other and that
the ignitions are switched off.
Attach the red jump lead to the positive terminal
Î
(+) of the discharged battery and to the positive
terminal (+) of the donor battery.
Connect the black jump lead first to the negative
Î
terminal (–) of the donor battery.
Connect the other clip to the frame of the lawn
Î
tractor's engine block as far from the battery as
possible.
