Checking drive chain tension

Important
Have chain tension adjusted by a Ducati Dealer
or authorised Service Centre.
Make the rear wheel turn until you find the position
where chain is tightest.
Set the motorcycle on the side stand.
With the chain in its rest position, measure the
distance setting the measurement instrument in
front of screw (C), fastening the chain sliding shoe, at
right angles with the swinging arm until the chain
link in the centre of pin (B).
The value must be: A = 31 ÷ 33 mm (1.22 ÷ 1.30 in).
Important
This only applies to the motorcycle STANDARD
settings, available upon delivery.
