of the Service Manual BEFORE servicig this baler. This
Safety section shows you some typical safety problems
which can occur during normal baler operation and
maintenance. This Safety section shows you some ways
to prevent the problems. This Safety section does NOT
replace the safety procedures in other sections of this
service manual.
YOU are the key to safety. Good operating and
maintenance procedures protect you and the persons
around you. Know this service manual. Make the
procedures a working part of your safety program.
Remember, this Safety section is for this type of baler
only. Continue to use all other good working procedures.
REMEMBER - SAFETY FIRST! YOU CAN PREVENT
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Make sure your baler has the correct equipment needed
by the local regulations.

Never operate the baler with any panels or
guards removed. If the removal of panels or
guards is necessary to make a repair, they
MUST be replaced before operation.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

FIG. 34: Wear all protective clothing and personal
protective equipment issued to you or called for by job
conditions.
Wear approved hearing protection as required by the
regulations that apply to you.
DO NOT wear loose clothing, or other items. Tie up long
hair. Long hair can get into moving parts.
Always keep hands, feet, hair and clothing away from
moving parts.
All shields and guards must be in position before
operating the baler.
DO NOT permit children, or persons who do not know
how to operate your baler, to operate your baler.
Keep other persons away from your area of work.
DO NOT permit other persons to ride on the baler.
