Section 1: Assembly & Set-up
Hitch & Jack Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-3:
1. Attach hydraulic hose to tractor duplex outlet.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT REMOVE TRANSPORT
LOCK BARS BOLTED BETWEEN WINGS UNTIL
AFTER "HYDRAULIC HOOK-UP" ON PAGE 13.
Refer to Figure 2-2 on page 15:
2. Raise center deck up and remove all cylinder stops
(#6) from hydraulic lift cylinder rod.
3. Lower center deck fully down, shut tractor engine off
and remove switch key.

CAUTION
Hitch frame is heavy and can fall suddenly while rotating hitch
down into pulling position. Use hoist or other lifting device to
support hitch weight while rotating hitch down.
4. Remove and discard 1/2" nuts (#4) and bolts (#3).
5. Rotate hitch (#2) down into pulling position.

IMPORTANT: Clevis pins (#7) must be inserted from
outside of hitch frame as shown for leveling rods to
operate without interference. If necessary, lengthen
leveling rods to install clevis pins. See "Center Deck
Leveling" on page 15 for instructions on how to
lengthen leveling rods.
6. Attach hitch frame (#2) to leveling rods (#1) by
inserting 3/4" x 1 1/2" clevis pins (#7) through the
leveling rod's outside clevis plate, hitch frame,
leveling rod's inside clevis plate, and flat washer (#5).
7. Insert 5/32" cotter pins (#6) in hole of clevis pins.
Bend both legs of cotter pins around clevis pin to
keep pins from falling out.
8. Attach parking jack (#8) to hitch frame and secure
with attached hitch pin (#9).
9. Adjust jack height until clevis hitch is at tractor
drawbar height.
10. Remove shaft protector (#10) from splitter gearbox
input shaft.
11. Do not attach driveline until after "Tractor Hook-up"
on page 12.
12. Wait until "Section 2: Adjustments" to adjust
leveling rods (#1).
