You can select the maximum zoom level in
case you want to zoom greater than optical
zoom magnification listed as below:

image quality decreases when you are using
the digital zoom.
The right side of the bar shows the digital
zooming factor. The zooming zone appears
when you select the zooming level.

after that up to 40 × zoom is performed

You can record a picture in a ratio suitable
for the screen on which it will be displayed.

following cases:
– while recording movie
– when [D.EFFECT] is set to [OLD MOVIE]
(p.76).
• Available recording time may be shorter in the
following situations.
– when you toggle between 16:9 (wide) and 4:3
while recording on a DVD-R/DVD-RW
(VIDEO mode).
