Extension Tubes

One or more Extension Tubes can be inserted between the lens and the Cam-
era to focus the Camera image. Use a combination of one or more of the six
tubes to achieve the required length.

Lighting

A stable image must be obtained to ensure accurate inspection. Use appropri-
ate lighting for the application and the measurement object if using a Camera
without a light (F150-S1A or F160-S1).

A stable, high-contrast image can be obtained using back lighting.

• Do not use the 0.5-mm and 1.0-mm Extension Tubes attached to each
other. Since these Extension Tubes are placed over the threaded section
of the Lens or other Extension Tube, the connection may loosen when
more than one 0.5-mm or 1.0-mm Extension Tube are used together.
• Reinforcement may be required for combinations of Extension Tubes
exceeding 30 mm if the Camera is subject to vibration.
