Connecting the Camera to a Computer with a USB Cable

Supported Operating Systems
Windows 98 (Including the Second Edition), Windows Millennium Edition (Windows
Me), Windows 2000
Windows
* Only systems pre-installed with Windows 98/Me/2000 or upgraded to Windows Me
from pre-installed Windows 98 systems are supported.
Macintosh
Mac OS 8.1 or later, QuickTime 3.0 or later (not supported on Mac OS X)
computers
* Only genuine Apple Computer systems with built-in USB interfaces are supported.
Before connecting the camera to your computer for the first time, you must install the
required software onto the computer. Once the software has been installed, you can
connect the camera to the computer using the included USB interface cable IFC-300PCU.
• For information about how to install the software, refer to the Software Starter Guide .
• If you are using Windows 95 or Windows NT, please use a CF card reader or a PC
card reader to download images.
We recommend that you use the optional AC adapter (AC Adapter Kit ACK600) to power the
camera while it is connected to your computer (
