    Install the MEGA Live ICE Transducer and Base The MEGA Live ICE Imaging kit provides a mounting capability to use your MEGA Live ICE Imaging transducer on the ice. This manual will guide you through the installation requirements for the MEGA Live ICE Imaging transducer. It is important to read the instructions completely and understand the mounting guidelines before you start the installation.

    4. Connect the Heading Sleeve and Cap 1. Slide the heading sleeve over the cables and shaft and align the holes in the sleeve with the holes at the top of the shaft. NOTE: Align the heading sleeve so that the raised section faces away from the MEGA Live transducer’s pinging element (instead of towards it) to ensure the arrow on the heading cap will point in the same direction as the MEGA Live.

    5. Test the MEGA Live ICE Views Rotate the transducer by hand to test the Down, Forward and Landscape Mode views as illustrated in MEGA Live ICE Views. Your Landscape Mode mount includes guides to help you position the transducer correctly (see the illustration MEGA Live ICE Mode Guides).

    HELIX cable tray. WARNING! The MEGA Live ICE Imaging transducer should be connected to a battery switch. Humminbird does not recommend connecting to a battery without a fuse and a switch. NOTE: Humminbird is not responsible for over-voltage or over-current failures.

Connect the MEGA Live ICE power SAE cable to the Hand-tightening the Screw Nut transducer power cable connector, and connect the Ethernet extension cable to the transducer Ethernet cable. The connectors are keyed to prevent reversed installation, so be careful not to force the connectors. Hand-tighten the screw nuts on each connector.

Insert the Ethernet adapter cable and optional ICE Heading Sensor extension cable connectors into the correct slots in your cable tray. Each slot is shaped specifically for each connector, and insertion should be easy. Route the cables using the grooves in the tray.

    Set Up the Control Head Use the following instructions to power on the control head and confirm the MEGA Live ICE Imaging transducer and the ICE AS GPS Heading Sensor (optional) are detected by the unit. CAUTION! It is important to finish all installation connections before powering on the control head.
