The Preferences screens enable you to customize the configuration options on your
handheld, including the following:
Buttons
Connection
Date and Time
Digitizer
Formats
General
Network
Owner
ShortCuts
Web Clipping
Wireless

Viewing Preferences

To open the Preferences screens:
Tap the Applications icon
1.
Tap the Preferences icon
2.
Tap the pick list in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3.
Select the Preferences screen you want to view.

Setting Preferences for Your Handheld
Reassign the following: an application to the Favorite icon,
different applications to the buttons on the front panel of your
handheld and the HotSync
screen pen stroke command.
Configure cradle, modem, and infrared communication settings.
Set the date, time, time zone, and Daylight Saving switch.
Calibrate the screen on your handheld.
Set the country default and the formats for dates, times,
calendar, and numbers.
Set these features: auto shutoff interval, Stay on in cradle,
sounds, indicator light, and Beam Receive.
Configure your handheld for use with a network.
Assign your name, phone number, and other owner information
to your handheld.
Define a list of Graffiti
Configure your handheld to make an Internet web connection
using clipping applications either wirelessly (using the internal
radio) or using a modem/dialup connection. See

Enable wireless coverage by scheduling the radio, or turning it
on or off. Check the signal strength. See
